In a partnership with the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA), Rep. Marcy Toepel (R- Montgomery) is hosting a student loan repayment seminar on Thursday, Oct. 19, at 7 p.m. at Perkiomen Valley Middle School auditorium, 220 Big Road (Route 73), Zieglerville. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m.
“Americans owe more than $1 trillion in student loan debt, and the average 2016 graduate carries $37,172 in student loan debt – a 6 percent increase from last year. Repaying higher education costs is becoming a real problem for students and their family members, who often put themselves as risk by co-signing hefty loans,” Toepel said.
Representatives from PHEAA will discuss student loan repayment options which may provide more manageable monthly payment rates, forgiveness programs, forbearances and what to do if borrowers get behind on loan repayments.
Registration is limited and required to attend this event. Register online at RepToepel.com or by calling Toepel’s district office at (610) 323-3299.
