Reading and Pottstown, PA - The Olivet Boys and Girls Club announced today that Angel Helm will serve as interim CEO for the organization effective immediately.  Helm, a retired investment banker and finance executive, will oversee all operations until a permanent CEO can be named.  Helm has significant experience in non-profit management and governance in Berks County, having served on several non-profit boards for the past 20 years.  Ms. Helm graduated with an economics degree from Gettysburg College and earned her Masters of Business Administration from St. Joseph’s University.  She resides in Wyomissing.
Helm replaces former CEO, Allen Reese, who left the organization earlier this month.  Gary Redner, Chairman of the Olivet Board, commented, “We are excited to have Ms. Helm as interim CEO while we conduct our search for Olivet’s new leader.  She will bring an incredibly vast knowledge of the community and a very strong business acumen to this organization.”
Helm said, “I am honored to be chosen to lead, alongside the Board of Directors, the Olivet Boys and Girls Club during this interim period.  Olivet plays a crucial role in Berks County and has positively shaped the lives of so many young boys and girls.  We look forward to the important and continued support of our community which enables the Olivet to reach so many children in so many positive ways.”
