DESCRIPTION:The Technology and Learning Conference provides a forum for participants to share state-of-the-art information technologies\, to contribute to a vision of the future of information technology in the academic enterprise\, and to exchange ideas and best practices for incorporating technology\, security and learning. \n    \n    \n        The theme for the 2011 conference is ''Get Your Head in the Cloud.''  Participants can choose to follow topic threads in the areas of teaching and learning\, student success and support services\, security and identity management\, library\, emerging technology and e-Learning. \n    \n    \n        The conference will begin with a keynote address from Terry Anderson\, who teaches educational technology courses in Athabasca's master's and doctoral distance education programs\, which are the largest of their kind in the world.  He is also the director of the Canadian Institute for Distance Education Research (CIDER) and the editor of the International Review of Research in Open and Distance Learning.  Anderson is an active keynote and regular session speaker at a variety of education\,\n        distance education and net based learning conferences.  During the past 8 years he has been a keynote speaker at 40 such conferences. \n    \n    \n        The cost of attending the conference is $80 for registrations received by Sept. 26 and $100 for those received after that date.  The cost includes all conference materials\, parking\, continental breakfast and lunch.
