DESCRIPTION:The four-decade Ursinus College career of John French\, the college's William F. Heefner Professor of Music\, will be celebrated during a special Ursinus College Choir and Meistersingers spring concert.\n\n\n\nThe performance will take place in Bomberger Hall on the Ursinus College campus on Sunday\, April 28\, at 4 p.m. \n\n\n\nThe concert will serve as a retrospective of French's career\, featuring excerpts from the larger choral works performed by the college choir and meistersingers over the years\, including compositions by Maurice Durufl \, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart\, Joseph Haydn and Felix Mendelssohn.\n\n\n\nIt will also include a new commissioned work by Philadelphia composer Kile Smith with college organist Alan Morrison providing accompaniment on the Heefner Memorial Organ. \n\n\n\nThis performance is free and open to the public.
