DESCRIPTION:The Daniel Boone Homestead will be featuring their first\, to be annual\, Christkindlmarket on Friday\, December 9 and Saturday\, December 10 from 4pm-9pm\, both nights!  \n\n\n\nThis event will definitely get you excited for the upcoming holiday!  We will feature local wineries at the lodge\, where you may sample their holiday wines by the warmth of the fire\, in the colonial comfort of antiques and redware items.  Wine will be available for sale by the bottle as well.  You will then walk down the path lit with luminaries and Christmas lights\, with the sound of Christmas music lingering in the air\, toward the "General Store" where you may stop in for a quick peek at some of the gifts we display in our gift shop\, some of which were made by local artisians.  Next you may stop for a bite to eat or a cup of warm hot chocolate\, before you continue your journey into more holiday spirit.  Crafters row will be your next stop\, where you may find that "one more gift" you were looking for!!  Ahead of you\, you will see the Boone house lit and decorated for Christmas.  The bank barn and blacksmith shop will be open as well.  You can watch the blacksmith hard at work making hand forged Christmas gifts.  He will have some of his hand forged items for sale.  \n\n\n\nWe are working in conjunction with Christmas at Joanna\, at the Joanna Furnace in Morgantown\, selling a $10 combination ticket!
