DESCRIPTION:Music Makers: At Home in the World and Around the World Musikgarten offers a two year\, sequential program for children ages 4-7 years. Music Makers: At Home in the World and Music Makers: Around the World. This two-year learning program includes singing\, creative as well as structured movement\, playing instruments\, ensemble work\, ear training and guided listening. This developmentally sound approach to music literacy builds symbolic thinking\, concentration\, memory\, and self expression. The children start to work with written musical patterns\, too. In part II\, Music Makers: Around the World\, children will continue singing\, ear training\, playing instruments\, ensemble work and creative movement activities. Students explore the music of other cultures\, including American-Indian\, African-American\, British\, and German music. They will learn songs\, dances\, stories\, rituals\, and customs of these cultures to help her feel and understand others around the world. At the end of this two-year program\, your child will have a comprehensive music foundation which is an excellent preparation for the next step\, the MusikGarten Piano Partners program.
