SUMMARY:Membership Luncheon: Networking During a Pandemic
DESCRIPTION:2020 put a full stop to in-person networking events\, conferences and training programs\, as well as internal networking around the water cooler. What this year has shown us is that working virtually is here to stay\, whether it means coming into the office for only a few days a week\, working exclusively from home or being back to the office full time. But what will be different is that everyone will be doing more connecting virtually with colleagues\, clients and new customers. \n\n\n\nIn this new world\, the skills of virtual networking will be as important as face-to-face engagement. We call this Hybrid Networking and everyone will need to become good at both types of connecting. \n\n\n\nIn this session with one of Canada's top networking experts\, Gayle Hallgren-Rezac\, you'll learn the best practices for virtual networking and relationship building as well as face-to-face connecting. Everyone has to become a Hybrid Networker. \n\n\n\nDuring this event\, you'll learn how to:\n\n Effectively connect with clients and colleagues virtually\n\n Be seen and heard by senior colleagues if working remotely \n\n Meet new people virtually \n\n Raise your profile in your virtual networks \n\n Restart your face-to-face networking with new best practices\n\n\n\nAbout Gayle Hallgren-Rezac\n \n\n\nGayle is one of Canada's top networking experts. She is co-author (with Darcy Rezac and Judy Thomson) of the best-selling book WORK THE POND! Use the Power of Positive Networking to Leap Forward in Work and Life (Penguin Prentice Hall). She is chief engagement officer of Shepa Learning Company. Their trademarked philosophy of networking\, Positive Networking \, has been called the "world's best definition". \n\n\n\nGayle's approach to networking is teaching audiences how to connect with confidence in all situations\, from small talk to follow-ups\, how to develop bonded relationships operationally and with clients\, and how to build strategic networks. Gayle is a writer\, speaker\, entrepreneur (founder\, Cookies by George) and a YWCA Woman of Distinction award winner. Her client list includes financial institutions\, corporations\, universities and professional groups.
