DESCRIPTION:The Ursinus String Ensemble will be joining the professional ensemble Not So Silent Cinema to present a live score to the 1932 silent film Vampyr in Bomberger Auditorium at 7pm\, with a talk from Ursinus Film Studies Professor (and violinist) Dr Jennifer Fleeger at 6:30. Not So Silent Cinema is the project of Philadelphia composer Brendan Cooney\, and his scores are tightly composed\, time-coded and thematic but also have plenty of room for improvisation and interaction between players. Join us for a memorable evening of film and music\, with support from the Arts and Lectures Fund\, the Music Department\, and Film Studies.
