DESCRIPTION:Last year\, the Schuylkill River Heritage Area's Pedal and Paddle Events proved overwhelmingly popular.  This summer\, four events are planned\, including three Pedal and Paddles\, and one Pedal Around Pottstown. \n\n\n\nPedal and Paddles include: \n\n  4.5 mile bike ride using Bike Pottstown's yellow cruisers along the Schuylkill River Trail from Pottstown's Riverfront Park to Historic Morlatton Village in Douglassville. \n\n  Guided tour of Historic Morlatton Village. \n\n  Boxed picnic lunch at Ganshahawny Park in Douglassville \n\n  Brief introduction to kayaking \n\n  Paddle back to Riverfront Park \n\n  Three dates to choose from: June 30\, July 21\, Sept. 15 \n\n  All events begin at 9:30 AM and end at approximately 2:00 PM\n\n\n\nLunch\, bikes\, kayaks and all kayaking gear will be provided.  Cost of the trip is $25 per person.  Space is limited.  Must be 16 or older to participate.  Pre-registration required. \n\n\n\n\n\nPedal Around Pottstown includes: \n\n  Guided ride along the Schuylkill River Trail in Pottstown and borough bike lanes using Bike Pottstown's yellow cruisers. \n\n  Tour of Pottsgrove Manor\, the 1752 home of Pottstown founder\, John Potts. \n\n  Visit to the Montgomery County Community College art gallery on High Street. \n\n  Lunch at a Pottstown eatery. \n\n  Scheduled for Aug. 25 from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM\n\n\n\nLunch and bikes will be provided.  Cost of the trip is $15 per person.  Space is limited.  Must be 16 or older to participate.
