DESCRIPTION:Registration is going on now for Montgomery County Community College's 19th Annual Technology and Learning Conference. \n\n\n\nThe cost of attending the conference is $25 and includes all conference materials\, parking\, continental breakfast and lunch. For registration information\, including step-by-step directions to guide you through the registration process\, visit www.mc3.edu/techday. \n\n\n\nThe conference will begin with a keynote address by noted educator and researcher Dr. Leah P. Hollis. In her address\, titled "I Like To Tell the Story: Strategies for Engaging Online Learners\," she will share how new online technologies can enable teachers to invoke stories that connect with and inspire students to academic success. \n\n\n\nDr. Hollis has taught at Northeastern University\, the New Jersey Institute of Technology\, and Rutgers University\, and has also held online positions with Northcentral University\, Capella University\, Strayer University and University of Phoenix. The breadth of her online teaching experiences\, serving diverse populations of students\, give her a unique perspective of working with today's "virtual student." \n\n\n\nMCCC's Teaching and Learning Conference provides a forum for participants to share state-of-the-art information technologies\, to contribute to a vision of the future of information technology in the academic enterprise\, and to exchange ideas and best practices for incorporating technology\, security and learning. \n\n\n\nDesigned for higher education and K-12 faculty and administrators\, the conference is divided into several threads\, which include Teaching and Learning\; Student Success and Support Services\; Security and Identity Management\; Library\; Emerging Technologies\; and e-Learning.
