During his presentation\, Dr. Block will introduce us to a variety of native species\, and address the issues surrounding the tough competition from introduced invasive plant species.  Emma Melvin\, the Conservancy's Conservation Coordinator\, will also be on hand to give us an update on the Water Chestnut project\, as it moves into its third year.  Dr. Block holds the John J. Willaman Chair of Botany at the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania. Sponsored\, in part\, by Exelon.
