Full Trip Registration is Now Open for the 19th Annual Schuylkill River Sojourn
June 3-9, 2017
The Schuylkill River Sojourn is a 7-day, 112-mile guided paddle from Schuylkill Haven to Boathouse Row in Philadelphia that is organized annually by the Schuylkill River Heritage Area. Participants can register for one day or the entire week.

Registration Details
From March 31 to April 6 we will accept registrations from full-trip registrants only. This is being done to ensure that people who wish do the full trip don't miss out on the first two days, which fill up very quickly. Registration for all other participants will open April 7!

- After registering, you will still need to download several waivers and medical forms that must be filled out and mailed in with original signatures. Links to these forms will be available on your registration confirmation. They can also be found on our website: www.schuylkillriver.org/sojourn/aspx.
- If you do not wish to register online, please download both a mail-in registration form & a confirmation form. If you choose this option, you must still download the waivers and medical history form at the link above.
- Our 2016 Sojourn outfitter is Doug Chapman, owner of Take it Outdoors Adventures, which is responsible for all kayak rentals.
- Our guides will once again be Allan & Jeremy Quant from Canoe Susquehanna. and Matt Stan from the Bad Adventure Company.

Long Sleeve Dri Fit Tech T-shirts! Our dri fit t-shirts were so popular last year that we decided to offer a long sleeve version this year, available for $15.
Full-trip shuttle: Reserving a space on the full-trip shuttle from Philadelphia to Schuylkill Haven is once again part of the registration process, with a $25 fee (to cover our costs). This option is for full-trippers only and there are a limited number of spaces available. The daily shuttle is still included automatically.
Once again we have Full-trip and Single Day Scholarships available
- Bill Trace Scholarship for First Time Sojourners: In memory of Bill Trace a longtime sojourner and devoted member of the Schuylkill River Heritage Area, a fund has been established through the generosity of his family and friends enabling us to offer a free one-day trip on the annual Schuylkill River Sojourn to two people who have never before been on the sojourn. - Schuylkill Action Network Sojourn Steward: The Schuylkill Action Network (SAN) will provide a full-week scholarship ($620 value) for an enthusiastic individual with paddling, photography, and social media experience to photo-document litter problem areas along the river during the week-long sojourn excursion. By documenting litter in the Schuylkill River, the SAN will learn more about the litter problem, which will help us develop solutions to addressing the issue. Click here for details and application.
