21st Annual Schuylkill River Sojourn

Partial Trip Registration for the 21st Annual Schuylkill River Sojourn opens MIDNIGHT on Monday, April 8. The first week of April is only open for full trip registrations. If you want to paddle the full trip, we recommend you register by tomorrow night, April 7, before spaces fill up! If you are registering for one day or several days that include Saturday, Sunday and Monday then we recommend you register soon after partial trip opens.

The annual Schuylkill River Sojourn is summer camp, a regional history exploration, and bonding experience all rolled into one. It's a 7-day, 112-mile guided paddle from Schuylkill Haven to Philadelphia. Participants can register for a day/s or the entire week. The first week of April is only open for full trip registrations.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are using the same email to register this year as you have in past years, then you may be prompted for a password. If you don't remember your password then you can either choose to reset it by choosing the "Forgot Your Password?" option or you can choose the "Start a New Registration" option. You may have to select this option twice for the first two pages of the registration form.

After registering, you will still need to download several waivers and a medical form that must be filled out and mailed in with original signatures. Links to these forms will be available on your registration confirmation page. They can also be found on our WEBSITE.

Full Trip Shuttle

Full-trip shuttle: Reserving a space on the full-trip shuttle from Philadelphia to Schuylkill Haven is once again part of the registration process, with a $25 fee (to cover our costs). This option is for full-trippers only and there are a limited number of spaces available. The daily shuttle is still included automatically.

Free Sojourn Opportunities

Once again, we have several opportunities to participate in the Schuylkill River Sojourn for FREE.

Bill Trace Scholarship for First Time Sojourners:
In memory of Bill Trace, a longtime sojourner and devoted member of Schuylkill River Greenways, a fund has been established through the generosity of his family and friends enabling us to offer a free one-day trip on the annual Schuylkill River Sojourn to three people who have never before been on the sojourn. Schuylkill Action Network Sojourn Steward:
The Schuylkill Action Network (SAN) will provide a full-week scholarship ($655 value) for an enthusiastic individual with paddling, photography, and social media experience. The selected person will engage sojourn participants in a stewardship activity while taking photos and blogging about their experience. The non-profit Schuylkill River Greenways NHA is a National and State Heritage Area that seeks to connect people and communities to the Schuylkill River and the Schuylkill River trail. The boundaries of the Heritage Area cover the Schuylkill River watershed in Schuylkill, Berks, Chester, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties.
