Astral Artist, Henry Kramer, piano
As the winner of The Juilliard School’s 2015 William Petschek Award, Henry Kramer recently debuted in Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall. A top prizewinner in the Honens International, National Chopin, Montreal International, and VI China Shanghai International competitions, he was also the recipient of the Harvard Musical Association’s Arthur Foote Award. He has been soloist with the Shanghai Philharmonic, l’Orchestre Métropolitain de Montréal, and the Portland and Bilkent (Ankara, Turkey) symphony orchestras. He gave his European debut in Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, and made an unprecedented appearance in Havana, Cuba, as a cultural ambassador. He holds degrees from The Juilliard School and an Artist Diploma from the Yale School of Music, where he currently pursues doctoral studies and received the Charles S. Miller Prize for the most outstanding first-year pianist.
