Clear the Shelters - Discounted Adoption Fees

July 23, 2016 is "Clear the Shelters" Day, an initiative by NBC-owned stations to help get cats and dogs waiting for new homes successfully adopted. NBC10 and Telemundo62 are partnering with dozens of shelters and rescue organizations throughout the region to help find these animals permanent loving homes. Mostly Muttz Rescue, Inc. is proud to be a participating rescue organization this year!

On this day MMR has agreed to waive the spay/neuter deposit on puppies that are too young to be altered and also lowering the adoption fees for our adult dogs that day in hopes of attracting even more people interested in rescuing a furry friend. So, on July 23rd, adoption fees will be as follows:

Puppies, 8 weeks to 2 years old: $300
Adult dogs, 2 years old to 7 years old: $200
Senior dogs, 7 years and older: $50

Our normal application criteria and process will still be followed, so anyone interested in adopting one of our dogs on "Clear the Shelters" Day must submit an adoption application, found at www.mostlymuttz.org, by July 17th. Only pre-approved applicants will be able to adopt a dog during the event on July 23rd. If you do find your forever furry friend on our website and wish to adopt him or her, expect to proceed forward as soon as your application has been approved. For the health and well being of the dogs, we do not hold or delay adoptions, once a family has been approved.
