Flag Day Ceremony
Keystone Villa at Douglassville proudly invites the public to the Independent Building, located at 1180 Ben Franklin Hwy East, for a Flag Day ceremony on Monday, June 14 at 2 p.m. From sea to shining sea, our stars and stripes are symbols of freedom and hope. Join us for a special Flag Day ceremony with honorary guest speaker Mark Moore, the senior pastor of Glossbrenner United Methodist Church in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. Moore served as a member of the U.S. Air Force Reserve Chaplain Service. Following 9/11, he was mobilized for military service, serving as deputy command chaplain at the headquarters of the U.S. Joint Forces Command in Norfolk, Virginia, and as the deputy chaplain in the Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon. Moore continued serving as the reserve assistant to the command chaplain of the U.S. Air Force Reserve Command, rising to the rank of colonel before retiring in 2009.
