Our Veterans gave their all to ensure our safety and protect our freedom. For that, Keystone Villa at Douglassville would like to honor their service with complimentary breakfast and speaker engagement on Saturday, Nov. 6, at 8:30 a.m. Attention Veterans, join us at Keystone Villa at Douglassville, located at 1180 Ben Franklin Hwy E., for a delicious breakfast featuring guest speaker, former Lt. Commander Linda Maloney, who had a 20-year career as a naval flight officer. She was one of the first women in U.S. history to join a combat military flying squadron. She received numerous military awards, including the distinguished air medal for combat, awarded for flights flown over Southern Iraq in support of the no-fly zone during her deployment to the Arabian Gulf. Maloney was the first woman to eject from a Martin-Baker ejection seat from her A-6 aircraft in 1991 over the Atlantic Ocean. Since retiring from the Navy in 2004, she started her second career working as a defense contractor supporting aviation and submarine programs. Enter a raffle to win a copy of her award-winning book “Military Fly Moms: Sharing Memories, Building Legacies, Inspiring Hope.” RSVP by Nov. 3; please call Tina at 610-385-5000 or email thess@keystonevillaatdouglassville.com.
