MCCC to host 20th Annual Pottstown Student Art Exhibit April 14-30
Montgomery County Community College invites the community to experience and celebrate the talent and artistic ability of its Fine Arts students with an exhibition soon on display at the Pottstown Campus. The Montco Cultural Center will host the 20th Annual Pottstown Student Art Exhibit April 14-30 in the North Hall Gallery, 16 E. High St., Pottstown, PA 19464. An opening reception will be held Tuesday, April 14 from 5-7 p.m. with an awards ceremony at 6 p.m. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. Free parking is available in MCCC’s South Hall parking lot, 101 College Drive, and it is only a short walk to North Hall. For more information, visit mc3.edu/CultureEvents. Around 30 works by Fine Arts students based at the Pottstown campus will be on display, primarily in drawing and painting. Awards in these categories, as well as the Bella Shen & Lucie S. Lee Best in Show Award, will be selected by this year’s guest juror Adrienne Jenkins, former Director of Philagrafika 2010 and the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance. The gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The gallery is closed on weekends. MCCC’s art galleries, located at both Pottstown and Blue Bell campuses, are part of the Montco Cultural Center and host a variety of exhibitions featuring professional and student artists and artwork in an array of genres, as well as related activities, programs and lectures.
