Ron Eidshaug
Vice President, Congressional and Public Affairs - U.S. Chamber of Commerce
As vice president of the U.S. Chamber’s Congressional and Public Affairs Division, Ron Eidshaug helps oversee a team of 15 full-time Capitol Hill lobbyists.

Eidshaug is a sought-after speaker providing an insider’s perspective of Congress. He appears at engagements with governors, senators, members of Congress, administration officials, and business leaders across the United States, and he speaks to a wide range of international audiences. Eidshaug has a unique ability to translate Washington-speak into language that business leaders can understand.

Eidshaug is also the Chamber’s chief lobbyist on environmental, energy, and regulatory reform issues. He joined the Chamber team in 1999 and has served in a variety of roles. A native New Yorker, Eidshaug worked in the New York State Governor’s Office of Regulatory Reform from 1995 to 1999 during the George Pataki administration.

Eidshaug has both a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the State University of New York at Albany. He resides in Vienna, Virginia, with his wife, Pam, and their son, Evan.

Matt Webb
Senior Vice President for Legal Reform Policy - U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform
As senior vice president for legal reform policy at the U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform, Matthew D. Webb oversees the development and advocacy of ILR’s position and policy on key federal legal reform issues including securities litigation, preemption, alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, class action reform, tobacco-Medicaid litigation, the False Claims Act, attorney fee shifting, shareholder activism, and campaign finance reform.

Before joining ILR, he was research director for Safe Streets, a not-for-profit foundation focusing on criminal justice reform. He is a member of the bar of the state of Maryland and graduated magna cum laude from American University’s Washington College of Law where he was an articles editor on the Law Review.

Webb holds a B.A. degree in political science from the University of Colorado. During his free time, he is a volunteer firefighter and paramedic in Northern Virginia.



Infrastructure: Federal and State Outlook
Edward Mortimer
Vice President, Transportation and Infrastructure - U.S. Chamber of Commerce
Ed Mortimer serves as vice president of Transportation and Infrastructure at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Mortimer oversees the development and implementation of the Chamber’s transportation infrastructure policy and represents the Chamber on Capitol Hill as well as before the administration and industry organizations. He also leads the Americans for Transportation Mobility (ATM) Coalition, a collaborative effort by business, labor, transportation stakeholders, and concerned citizens to advocate for improved and increased federal investment in the nation’s aging and overburdened transportation system.

Mortimer comes to the Chamber from AECOM, an engineering and construction company, where he served as director of government relations. He was responsible for coordinating government affairs efforts with the company’s infrastructure market segment, representing AECOM’s interests before federal, state, and local officials. Prior to that, Mortimer was director of Transportation and Infrastructure at the U.S. Chamber. Earlier in his career, he was director of government relations for the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) and a legislative representative for the American Road and Transportation Builders Association.

Mortimer received a bachelor’s of arts in political science from American University and completed an executive management program at Georgetown University. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with his wife and two children.
