Open Mic Night for Teens and Kids 18 and Under

Join husband and wife duo, Allison and Josh, as they host our premier Open Mic night for Teens and Kids 18 and under! We welcome all art forms such as music, poetry, spoken word, comedy - whatever you want to perform. It is our goal to provide a safe and welcoming stage, with professional sound. Whether it is your first time performing in front of people, or you are a seasoned vet, we are here for you! Each person can perform for about 5-10 minutes, depending on how long the list gets. This is a chem-free event for ages 18 and under, although parents and guardians are encouraged to stay with younger kids, and may also accompany them on stage if need be. Parents are also welcome to watch the performances, or hang out in one of our waiting rooms.

We have limited space in our facility, so please RSVP for everyone in your party. Please bring your own instruments. If you need special gear accommodations, have any questions, or if you are planning on bringing a full band (we would prefer not to get TOO loud), please email Allison at staff@pillarsoflightandlove.org.

Allison and Josh have hosted a successful and professional Open Mic night for 5 years in their home town of Bangor, Maine. They play together in their band, Temperature of the Sun. Josh is also a professional audio engineer. this event is free, however donations to Pillars of Light and Love are always appreciated if your budget allows.
