Providing for Pollinators - Making Mason Bee Houses
Mason bees are nonstinging, tube-dwelling, native pollinators that can be encouraged to populate an area left absent by dwindling populations of honey bees. In this hands-on workshop by Sandra Sweeney, you will make a mason bee house to hang in your yard. She will share her extensive knowledge about these native pollinators while demonstrating the construction of suitable, economical tube houses that avoid the serious pitfalls of many commercially available products.
