Support Group for Parents and Caretakers of those with Special Needs

Parents, caretakers of those with special needs face challenges every day and night. They love their children and family members unconditionally, but it can be mentally and physically draining. This group will have two meetings simultaneously, one for parents/caretakers and one for siblings of those with special needs. For Parents/Caretakers: Join "Special" Mom, Kathleen Merritt, who will lead our new support group for Caregivers and parents of Children with Special Needs. Topics May Include: How to take care of yourselves while caring for others Resources for those with special needs Coping Strategies Share stories of tears and laughter and more

For Siblings of all ages: PLEASE RSVP HERE:https://www.eventbrite.com/e/support-group-for-siblings-of-those-with-special-needs-tickets-25655659769 Personal Development Coach, Christine Ford will lead a group for siblings of those with special needs in a separate area. This group will provide a safe environment and will allow participants to interact with others in similar situations while making new friends. Topics May include: Support and Empowerment for siblings Coping Strategies Living in a safe, friendly and fun environment for all siblings How to be a supportive sibling while making sure your own needs are met Stress Reduction Techniques How to have positive interactions with your family members Please RSVP for each person attending. This workshop is free and open to the public, however donations to Pillars of Light and Love are always appreciated and accepted if your budget allows.
