Join Clara and her heroic friend the Nutcracker on this magical midnight adventure beginning with the epic battle against the mighty Mouse King and his mischievous minions of mice, then voyage into the sparkling Kingdom of Snow and through the enchanted Land of Sweets meeting the Sugar Plum Fairy and dazzling dancers from around the world! Feel the exhilaration of the iconic music of Tchaikovsky originally heard 130 years ago at the first Nutcracker ballet performed in Imperial Russia! Enjoy this warm and spectacular Yuletide experience that will leave you leaping with holiday euphoria into the New Year! The Schuylkill Valley Regional Dance Company (SVRDC.org) is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization originally established in Pottstown in 1971 and has been based in Phoenixville since 2013. SVRDC draws student dancers from various school districts in Chesco, Montco and Berks counties offering opportunities to advance their skills while providing a brilliant performance for the regional communities. This year SVRDC proudly features various dancers in OJR, and other various schools of the Tricounty Chamber regions including senior Katharine Balzano as Hot Chocolate Spanish lead dancer; Madison Brashear as the Mouse King; Scarlett Ren as The Nutcracker; Nicole Everett as Soldier Doll; Mirella Saleski as Angel Princess and junior-Brianna Geist in the highly prominent role of Sugar Plum Fairy!
