The Schuylkill Valley Regional Dance Company presents its 50th Anniversary of THE NUTCRACKER! Come venture into Clara’s magical dream on Christmas Eve as she joins The Nutcracker in a great battle against the mighty Mouse King and his minions, then journey through the sparkling Kingdom of Snow and onto the enchanted Land of Sweets meeting the Sugar Plum Fairy and dazzling dancers from around the world. Ring in the Yuletide season to the iconic music of Tchaikovsky as enjoyed during the first Nutcracker of 1892! Phoenixville, Pa based non-profit SVRDC.org brings the classic tale of the Nutcracker to the Philadelphia region's Main Line. With over 50 dancers, professional guest artists, lavish costumes, and beautiful scenery, this is a spectacular and yet affordable family holiday experience that is guaranteed to ignite your spirits and warm your hearts! Proudly featuring the very talented high school students from various school districts served by the Chamber: Maeve Donnelly (Candy Cane lead/show1), Katharine Balzano (Columbine Doll-lead), Julia McGuigan (Arabian lead), Miranda Busch (Maid/Spanish dancer), Alivia Firkin (Arabian demi-lead). Abigail Neiderer (Candy Cane lead/show2), Brianna Geist (Dewdrop-lead & Mrs. Stahlbaum) plus OJR 6th grader Nicole Everett in the star role of Clara!
