Land Development Construction Inspector (Municipal)

TPD is seeking enthusiastic construction inspectors to join our municipal services team. Our ideal candidates will have 2+ years of inspection experience and possess a NICET certification. When submitting your resume, please list all certifications you possess, the date obtained, the expiration date, and the corresponding identification numbers for the certification(s).


Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Inspect municipal projects, including roadways, curbs, sidewalks, storm sewers, detention basins, soil and erosion control measures, water mains, sanitary sewers, and pump stations.
  • Monitoring and documentation of daily construction activity, equipment, and manpower; verification of conformance of materials and equipment with approved shop drawing submittals.
  • Oversight of contractor startup and testing activities.
  • Monitoring of work performance and documentation of variances from established schedules.
  • Evaluation of contractor payment requests and maintenance of changes to record documents and assistance with preparing “as built” drawings.
  • High School Graduate
  • 2+ years of inspection experience
  • NICET (preferred)
  • Candidates with supervisory and/or journeyman experience in the construction trades will also be considered.
