Payroll Administrator

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for all aspects of payroll processing and preparation in a fast-paced environment for all domestic US employees operating in multiple states. The Administrator ensures accuracy and efficiency of multi-state payrolls, levels of customer service, data integrity, and calculating special payments consistent with local, state, and federal wage and hour laws.

Essential Duties

  • Perform all activities necessary to process weekly payrolls, including filing tax reports, processing levies and garnishment, reviewing ADP integration data for accuracy, preparing payroll transactions, and preparing special reports.
  • Ensure company payroll matters are anticipated and addressed in a proactive fashion. Acts as primary liaison with payroll vendor.
  • Prepare all payroll-related reports and distribute them to appropriate departments (HR, Accounts Payable, etc.).
  • Prepare federal, state, and local payroll tax returns on a quarterly basis.
  • Process 401K contributions and payments.
  • Monitor submissions of time and attendance records. Coordinates with managers to ensure approval process is followed.

Education

  • High School Diploma
  • Associates Degree in Business preferred

Experience

  • 3-5 years’ work experience in payroll/accounting role
  • ADP Payroll expertise preferred
  • Experience managing multi-state payroll required
  • Intermediate Excel skills required
  • Experience with tax withholding familiarity and garnishment processes and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong discretion in dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34,540.05 - $80,942.92 per year
