Manufacturing/General Laborer

Job Requirements:

This entry level position requires a minimum educational attainment of a high school diploma or its equivalent; an equivalent combination of training and/or experience is acceptable. The successful candidate must be able to perform satisfactorily in at least two of the Laborer Duties listed herein. The requirements contained in this description are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. General knowledge and use of shop equipment and tools is required. Union membership is required for successful candidates. Company paid physical and drug screening required for employment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Spray Painter – Uses various spray painting equipment and methods to coat product. Prepares product by cleaning, masking and any additional preparation required for the painting process. Uses overhead/jib cranes to move equipment into position for painting. Cares for the paint, painting equipment, paint booth(s) and surrounding areas, keeping it clean, safe and in good working order.

Refractory Installer – Uses manual and automatic equipment to mix and pour castable refractory into boilers, molds, and forms, occasionally required to tack reinforcement as needed and lay firebrick. Uses saws and hand tools to cut refractory board and assemble fire chambers and refractory turnarounds. Cares for all molds, forms, tools and equipment, keeping it clean, safe and in good working order.

Tube Roller – Prepares boilers for tube installation using various tools. Installs, aligns, rolls, flares, and/or beads tubes using specialized equipment to create a water-tight fit. Prepares boilers and/or tanks for hydrostatic tests by plugging openings and filling with water, and knocking down product once completed. Cares for all related tools and equipment, keeping it clean, safe and in good working order.

Crater - Prepares product for secure and safe shipment; wraps boilers and equipment to prevent damage. Uses saws and hand tools to build wooden and/or steel crates, cribs and racks. Cares for all related tools and equipment, keeping it clean, safe and in good working order.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.69 - $27.09 per hour
