Small Parts Assembler

Currently, we have the following job opening:

Production Assembler 1:

Assemble parts, pieces, and products using an array of tools and equipment. Emphasis on quality, a dedication to performing work accurately, and keen attention to detail are a must.

Duties and Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

  • Sit for extended periods of time and remain concentrated on intricate tasks.
  • A steady hand to eye coordination for performing repetitive, delicate tasks on small parts such as assembly of small parts, weighing parts and recording weights, taping, cutting, hole punching, soldering, dipping, etc.
  • Precisely bend a small gauge wire at various intervals throughout the process by hand and/or using pliers and fixtures.
  • Package orders and prepare for shipping.
  • Accurately weigh energetic powder, press powder in increments, weigh parts and record weights, apply epoxy.
  • Use of a microscope to precisely weld/bond very fine resistance wire (by hand using fine tweezers) to metal contacts across a glass, ceramic or plastic gap to create an electrical bridge circuit. Use the foot pedal to advance weld electrodes onto the target wire and activate the welder.
  • Use of a microscope and fine artist’s brush to accurately apply several coats of a mixture of lacquer and energetic powder to the very fine resistance wire after welding/bonding as described above.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Basic math and communication skills required.
  • Ability to follow process travelers and instructions, written and/or oral for each product in order to produce quality products in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Ability to cope with change and meet deadlines.
  • Perform all work to meet quality and safety standards and procedures.
  • Ability to pass ATF background check.

Education and/or Experience:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
