Compensation: $20.00/hour
FLSA Status: Non-exempt, Full-time, 40 hours/week
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-4:30PM
Supervisor: Chief Advancement Officer
Location: Pottstown, PA

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
YW is seeking a Marketing and Communications Manager, who will execute, monitor, and measure the association’s marketing and communications efforts under the direction of the Chief Advancement Officer. Applicants should be excellent writers with experience in community relations, content creation, graphic design, social media, and website management.

The ideal candidate will be a team player who is energetic, organized, creative, and self-motivated, eager to join our fast-paced advancement department. The Communications & Marketing Manager will proactively promote the association’s mission, programs, and services to enhance YW’s resources, reputation, and impact.

Primary responsibilities include developing effective messaging and communication strategies, creating promotional and informative materials for internal and external use, assisting with fundraising campaigns and special events and promoting advocacy related initiatives. This position would include maintaining brand compliance and/or auditing current materials to ensure compliance with the national brand. This role requires familiarity with all forms of media and technical writing including press releases, digital campaigns, printed materials, copywriting, blog, social media, audio, visual and more.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (Includes, But Not Limited to):
Marketing & Communications:

  • Manage external communications, print, web, and social media presence
  • Maintain brand compliance and audits
  • Execute digital marketing strategies for the organization’s programs and events
  • Produce compelling program and event videos that broaden participation and engagement
  • Create and distribute monthly electronic newsletters and blogs
  • Inform marketing collateral purchasing for merchandise, program print and digital materials
Media Relations & Outreach:
  • Manage public relations, communications, and visibility strategies
  • Promote YWCA’s brand and identity to increase visibility
  • Develop presentations, materials, and content for external use
  • Lead and coordinate community relations and engagement activities
Special Projects & Events:
  • Develop key communications for special projects, events, and fundraisers
  • Assists in the marketing goals and strategies for all fundraising campaigns.
  • Support projects assigned by the Chief Advancement Officer and Senior Leadership team
  • Coordinate presence at tabling events and participate as necessary
  • Provide internship supervision and support

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE POSITION
  • Highly organized results-oriented thinker with ability to implement processes independently
  • Proactive attitude and initiative
  • Outstanding written and spoken communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver under pressure
  • Microsoft office suite experience required
  • WordPress, Canva, MailChimp, Adobe, and Zoho experience preferred
  • Graphic design experience preferred
  • Experience in digital marketing and promoting virtual events preferred
  • Commitment to YW’s mission and work
  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License required
Education & Experience:
  • Associate degree in Marketing, Communications or related field required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • 2-3 years related work experience, combination of education and experience may be considered
