PAID’S Mission is to develop, coordinate and implement an overall economic development strategy for the Borough of Pottstown designed to stimulate investment which will maintain and enhance the tax base; retain and create job opportunities; and restore or remove under utilized buildings.
Public Relations and Marketing Manager
Pottstown Area Industrial Development is looking for a Public Relations/Marketing Professional who wants to be apart of Pottstown’s exciting economic development and revitalization efforts. The successful candidate will be working directly with the Executive Director and Pottstown’s Borough Manager.  The position will require 8 hours of communication work for the Borough of Pottstown.
Job Responsibilities:
 Develops and leads public relations and marketing strategies to promote PAID and the Borough of Pottstown to maintain favorable public and stakeholder views of PAID’s agenda and accomplishments
Directs, coordinates, and collaborates with PAID’s external creative agency on marketing projects, social media content and website and blog content
Acts as a primary media contact and respond to requests in conjunction with the Executive Director
Draft , edit, and distribute press releases in support of the organization and its executive director
Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with community groups
Post content on multiple social media platforms
Monitors PAID’s social media engagement and respond to direct messages and comments in a positive and professional manner
Compiles and edits organizational material including but not limited to PAID’s Annual Report
Bachelors Degree in Public Relations and Marketing or related field
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative, MailChimp, a variety of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn
Ability to work in a team environment
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
Position requires ability to effectively communicate, compile and prepare work documents, and operate standard business equipment.  Work is performed in a shared office environment.  At times there may exposure to dust, dirt, and or construction hazards during external site visits.
