Compensation: Starting at $15.50/hour

FLSA Status: Part-time, Non-exempt, 27.5hrs/week

Shift: Monday – Friday 7:00AM-9:30AM and 2:00PM-5:00PM (Saturdays & Sundays on occasion for professional development/events)

Supervisor: Senior Director of Early Education

Location: Pottstown, PA

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

YWCA Tri-County Area is looking for a dedicated individual to serve as the Van Driver at our STARS 4 Early Education Center in Pottstown. The ideal candidate possesses the following:

• Must provide proof of working (volunteer or professional) with children for a minimum of two years.
• Must have a clean driving record and valid PA driver’s license
• Must be at least 21 years old and have 5 years’ experience in driving.
• Must have criminal record check & child abuse clearances within the last 6months, as well as FBI fingerprint clearances.
• Current Health Assessment and TB test
• CDL with bus certification preferred
• Must be good with children
• Understanding diverse family dynamics and cultural differences with the ability to work with and empower families.
• Understanding of YWCA mission, goals, and objectives and ability to work independently with a high level of energy and contribute as part of a larger team.
• Strong interpersonal skills as demonstrated by compassionate, courteous, cordial, cooperative, and professional interaction with diverse groups of co-workers, families, and members of the community.

Job Responsibilities:

The Early Education Van driver essential duties, include but are not limited to:

• Transport school age children to and from local elementary school, field trips, camp and other YW3CA programs and events.
• Ensure the safe supervision of children while transporting to appropriate destinations.
• Adhere to all safe driving rules as defined by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
• Maintain a positive community-school relationship using Conscious Disciple skills and structure
• Maintains the confidentiality of all children.
• Complete reports necessary as required by the YW3CA.
• Attend required staff meetings.
• Will require working non-traditional hours based on operational needs
• Other duties as assigned within the scope of position expectations
