Education Coordinator
Position Description
This is a part-time position with hours negotiable between 20-30 hours per week. Most hours will be during the traditional business hours but there will be occasional evening and weekend hours when there are classes for our clients. This person will have input into the education program design with the intention of offering content to our clients that encourages and supports.
In order to make this a viable position, it will also include coordinating an existing program that offer clients support in paying for utilities. There will be training for how to process these applications, what to say to clients, and how to track the activities.
The successful candidate must be able to interact with a variety of clients with non-judgement and respect. Information must be kept confidential. This person must be able to maintain information accurately in order to assure accurate reporting to funders. It is also essential to maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree is preferred, some college is required. Experience in education is a plus. It will be important to be able to work independently while coordinating with other staff, as needed. Organizational skills and attention to detail are critical. The Cluster has a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and all staff members must be willing to embrace this as an organizational priority. A valid driver’s license is necessary.
