About Us

Founded in 1965, the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles occupies the former home of the Boyertown Auto Body Works, and we strive to maintain the historic character of the World War II factory and the 1872 Jeremiah Sweinhart Carriage Factory. Visit the Museum to see dozens of vehicles spanning more than 200 years of road transportation history—from horse-drawn carriages to early gasoline cars and trucks, from high-wheel bicycles to electric vehicles. A 1938 prefabricated diner and a 1921 cottage-style gas station round out our story of how the car transformed America.
