Village Architecture & Preservation is a unique architectural design firm with strong roots in historic preservation and a vision toward sustainability, efficiency, and contextual relationships. With sensitivity toward historic context, we collaborate with clients to provide appropriate design solutions for necessary upgrades to accessibility, code compliance, and building systems to reanimate historic and existing spaces. Through careful consideration of function and program, VA&P works with clients to evaluate their needs and desired aesthetic in delivering custom-designed solutions for new facilities, existing building expansions, and adaptive reuse challenges.

With an understanding of historic building materials, we prepare detailed studies of historic material deficiencies and damages, exceptional existing conditions drawings and detailing, recommendations for sensitive repairs to character-defining architectural features, and maintenance plans for the treatment of historic materials.
