Fleetwood Bank Hosted Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Newly Renovated Kutztown Branch

The Only Bank Headquartered in Berks Continues to Invest in Its Future with Its Fourth Branch Renovation

FLEETWOOD, PA, April 11, 2025 — On Wednesday, April 9, Fleetwood Bank hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony at their Kutztown Branch, located at 15300 Kutztown Road in Kutztown, PA. The ribbon cutting ceremony was facilitated by the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance.

Senator Judy Schwank presented a Certificate of Recognition from The Senate of Pennsylvania. The Senator applauded Fleetwood Bank team members for their hard work in completing this renovation, sending well wishes to the only bank headquartered in Berks County to “continue to serve the community with excellence and integrity and for their financial journey to continue to be marked by stability, prosperity, and positive community contributions.”

Berks County Commissioner, Christian Leinbach, declared Fleetwood Bank “a vibrant, connected local community bank,” citing that “Fleetwood Bank is our only local community bank, and proof of this is that we’re standing here in the renovation of a facility. This isn’t a case of ‘last man standing.’ It’s community. Look around. In addition to the Fleetwood team, who are the other people that are here? They’re part of your local community, and the power of having Fleetwood Bank is vital and important.”

The Mayor of Kutztown, James Schlegel, who has been a Kutztown resident his whole life and was the Bank’s first customer when they re-opened their doors on October 7, 2024, shared a few words of reflection: “Back in the 80s when some of the local banks were being absorbed by the outside banks, I was a little upset with that. Then when Fleetwood Bank came to Kutztown, our family moved to Fleetwood Bank. We’ve been here since the 80s. Fleetwood is a great local bank. It’s great to have this renovated.”

Over 40 local business owners and community members enjoyed an evening of networking while enjoying refreshments and food prepared by local restaurant and Fleetwood Bank customer, Valentino’s of Kutztown.

The Kutztown Branch, which first opened its doors on September 5, 1989, is the fourth bank transformation to be completed by local general contractor, Stanley W. Bauman Jr., and is a testament to the Bank’s unwavering commitment to best serve the community.
