Got the Nerve? Triathlon Gears Up for New Chapter in Ephrata, PA
Ephrata, PA – After 20 years in Mount Gretna, the Got the Nerve? Triathlon is making an
exciting move to Ephrata, PA, bringing with it a renewed commitment to accessibility,
inclusivity, and community connection. The event will take place on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at
Thomas P. Grater Memorial Park, located next to the Ephrata Community Pool (Cloister Ave,
Ephrata, PA). Races begin promptly at 7:30 AM.
Presented by IM ABLE Foundation, this year’s triathlon offers multiple race formats tailored for
athletes of all backgrounds and abilities - including Triathlon (swim, bike, run), Duathlon (run,
bike, run), Aquabike (swim, bike), and Youth Splash & Dash (swim, run). Participants can choose
between Sprint and Super Sprint distances, making it ideal for both first-timers and seasoned
athletes.
A cornerstone of the event is its emphasis on inclusivity. Two specialized divisions are offered
to welcome adaptive athletes: the Paratriathlete Division, designed for those competing under
Paralympic rules, and the Adaptive Division, which accommodates athletes using alternative
equipment or those who choose not to follow Paratriathlon classifications.
Proceeds benefit the IM ABLE Foundation, a non-profit committed to empowering individuals
with disabilities through fitness. Funds raised support adaptive equipment grants, inclusive
fitness programs, and a strong community network that champions possibility over limitation.
