Montgomery County Community College and Community Health & Dental Care launch mobile dental unit at Pottstown Campus

June 18, 2025, Pottstown, Pa. — Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) is pleased to announce a new collaboration with Community Health & Dental Care (CHDC) to provide vital dental health services for students, employees, and community members.

Beginning July 8, CHDC’s mobile dental unit will be available on MCCC’s Pottstown Campus every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The unit offers convenient, on-site access to dental care, including checkups, cleanings, X-rays, sealants, fillings, and simple extractions.

Appointments must be scheduled in advance by calling 610-326-9460, ext. 106. To assist with scheduling, a CHDC representative will be available in MCCC’s South Hall student commons on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., beginning June 25.

“We are very excited to collaborate with Montco college and provide access to people to receive dental care closer to where they live, work and go to school in the Pottstown Borough,” said Bridgette McGivern, CHDC CEO.

“This initiative reflects Montco’s commitment to holistic support services that promote academic success and well-being for students, employees and community members,” said Dr. Rosann Bar, MCCC Dean of Academic Innovation. “We are pleased to partner with CHDC to help expand access to affordable health services.”

Patients requiring more complex procedures will be referred to CHDC’s main location at the Shops at Coventry, with shuttle service available from the Pottstown Campus.
CHDC accepts most insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare. For those without insurance, CHDC offers affordable, income-based pricing with visits starting at as low as $40, based on financial need.
