Boyertown Area Progress Dinner 2018
Video presentation by Boyertown Area High School students to include an update on Building a Better Boyertown's Community Visioning Process and Planning for future direction focused on expanding and improving its wealth of tourism, dining, and entertainment assets.
Boyertown's Vision and Action Plan with focus on Historic Cultural and Heritage Tourism as a key transformational strategy.
With the support of a grant from the BB&T Economic Growth Fund, Building a Better Boyertown has spent the past nine months leading the community through a visioning process. As a part of that process, our community determined that the best option for economic growth is a focus on expanding and improving our wealth of tourism, dining, and entertainment assets, and implement a professional tourism marketing strategy to attract visitors to those assets from a well-defined market radius.
The visioning process, which got us talking and thinking about the future of our town in different ways, proved to be very important. It helped us to focus on the tremendous tourism assets and resources that are already in place, and determine a path forward to capitalize on them. In addition, to ideas for capital projects such as a new Town Center at the railyard and targeted business recruitment, the planning phase identified tourism marketing a critical component of sustained economic growth in Boyertown.
