Butterfly ID Workshop and Walk

Learn more about the wonderful world of butterflies during this introductory workshop and nature walk!

Join GVWA staff to learn the basics of butterfly identification and how to support them on your own property, and then follow us on a walk around Welkinweir’s gardens and meadows to search for these colorful and fascinating pollinators. We will record our observations for reporting to a pollinator citizen science initiative. Participants take home a pocket field guide to Pennsylvania’s most iconic butterflies and moths.

No experience necessary. Please dress for the season and wear sturdy shoes. Bring binoculars and water. This event will be postponed in the event of inclement weather.
