GRCA Supervisor Training Module 1: Principles of Supervision (Winter 2021)
If this year has shown us anything, it is the importance of strong leadership - a business cannot navigate unprecedented, challenging times without an effective leader. We are very excited to be partnering with Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA) to offer the Supervisor Training certificate program to Chamber Members. If you are preparing an employee to transition into a supervisory role, this training will equip them with the tools and knowledge necessary to become an effective leader that will navigate your team and company to success.
Module 1: Principles of Supervision kicks off on Wednesday, January 6 and continues every following Wednesday through February 10. Each session is from 8:30AM to 11:30AM and registrants have the option to attend in-person or virtually - they can skip the commute and learn from the comfort of their office or home! Topics covered in Module 1 include:
- Supervisor’s Role in Management
- Understanding Yourself & Others (DISC)
- Communication & Listening
- Understanding Groups & Developing Teams
- Emotional Intelligence, Part 1
- Emotional Intelligence, Part 2
