Skill Share: Equine-Assisted Leadership Learning

Ever wonder what talents and life-saving skills lie beyond the business card? Join us for the Chamber’s Skill Share Series, where members explore the unique skills and passions of fellow members in a fun, casual, and engaging setting. Each session is designed so you walk away with a new skill—not always a professional one—and the opportunity to connect with other members in a relaxed environment.

In this two-hour Equine-Assisted Learning session, participants will experience fast, practical insights into how they show up as leaders and teammates. Through ground-based exercises (no riding), participants build self-awareness and awareness of others, practice clear verbal and non‑verbal communication, and strengthen trust within ad‑hoc teams. Horses respond to intention, clarity, and congruence, giving immediate, bias‑free feedback that helps participants align words, tone, and body language; set boundaries; read group dynamics; and collaborate under light pressure. 

You’ll leave with actionable tools to listen better, give and receive direction, and create psychological safety—skills you can apply at work the next day.

Networking will be a highlight of this event, creating meaningful opportunities to connect while enjoying food and drinks generously provided by Global Prism. The interactive exercises can be tailored to target specific skills, and each activity is designed to strengthen self-awareness and awareness of others, build trust, enhance both verbal and non-verbal communication, and foster effective teamwork.
