Design & Laser Cut Your Own Night Light

Have you ever wondered how makers and Etsy sellers create beautifully etched and intricate designs on wood or acrylic? We can share their secrets and teach you how to leverage technology to create these works of art! 

Join us for an introduction to laser cutting where you will learn how to customize an existing image in design software along with the step-by-step process to prepare the file for cutting and/or etching! In this hands-on session, we will guide you through the creation of a personalized acrylic night light or desk lamp and then send it to our laser cutter for your first etched prototype. A child may attend with a supervising adult if they are able to remain seated and engaged for two hours, use a computer mouse, navigate software and web-based tools, and follow adult instructions.
You will choose your own design and optional lettering.
