Position Summary
The Development and Donor Stewardship Manager is responsible for managing donor relationships, ensuring excellent stewardship, and executing marketing and communications that support fundraising goals. This role oversees donor data and reporting using DonorPerfect and works closely with the Executive Director to deliver a positive, consistent donor experience.
Key Responsibilities
Donor Management & Stewardship 25%
- Manage the Foundation’s donor database (DonorPerfect), ensuring accuracy, integrity, and effective use of data.
- Oversee gift processing, acknowledgments, tax receipts, and donor recognition.
- Develop and implement donor stewardship plans, including impact reporting and personalized communications.
- Produce regular donor and fundraising reports for staff and Board leadership.
- Ensure donor confidentiality and adherence to ethical fundraising standards.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable fundraising and reporting requirements.
- Support the planning and execution of annual campaigns, appeals, and special initiatives.
- Segment donor lists and coordinate targeted outreach in collaboration with the Executive Director.
- Track and analyze campaign performance to inform strategy.
- Develop and manage marketing and communications strategies that promote the Foundation’s mission, impact, and fundraising priorities.
- Create and coordinate content for email, print, website, and social media channels.
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all donor-facing materials.
- Support event marketing and donor communications before and after Foundation events.
- Work closely with the Executive Director to support major gifts, alumni engagement, and planned giving efforts.
- Assist Board members and volunteers with donor outreach and stewardship activities.
- Coordinate with vendors, designers, and consultants as needed.
- Work in conjunction with the Special Events Committee on two fund raisers per year, A Night At The Races in the fall and the Celebration of the Arts in late winter/early spring.
- Secure sponsorships for both events meeting and or exceeding the budget for this line item.
- Market the event giving recognition to the different levels of sponsorships
- Follow up with attendees post event to solicit donations
