Since its founding in 1965 as Pottstown Area Industrial Development, Inc. (PAID), now known as Pottstown Area Economic Development (PAED), has served as the lead development entity for Pottstown promoting commercial and industrial growth across the region. PAED provides services to businesses and organizations seeking to invest, expand or relocate, including assistance with site selection, commercial and industrial real estate development, and access to development resources. PAED’s efforts have stimulated investment, restored under-utilized buildings, helped maintain and enhance the tax base, as well as retain and create job opportunities. PAED is governed by a Board of Directors, with participation from key stakeholders from both the public and private sector. For many decades, PAED has been leading Pottstown’s growth with a commitment to a relevant economic development strategy. As an independent non-government organization it has been and remains the “go-to” organization for the development community.

The celebration will recognize businesses and individuals who have contributed to the success of Pottstown. DANA Inc, who has operated in Pottstown as a major employer for over 100 years will receive the Legacy Award; Amy Wolf and Amy Frances who have selflessly led the efforts of Pottstown’s Go Fourth will receive the Connector Award; The Small Business Award will be awarded to Once Upon A Time Consignment Boutique, Gina Spease, Owner in recognition of the boutique’s entrepreneurial spirit, perseverance, and commitment to excellence, as well as its meaningful impact on the Pottstown community; and Craig Cigas of Cigas Machines will receive the Board of Directors Award for his unwavering support of PAED throughout the years.
