SoulJoel’s to Host Comedy Show Benefit for Family Services’ Meals on Wheels

POTTSTOWN, PA, September 23, 2024 — SoulJoel’s at Sunnybrook will host a Comedy Show Fundraiser to benefit Family Services’ Meals on Wheels program on Thursday, October 3.
The show will feature headliner Kunal C. Arora, a New York-based comedian whose biting observational humor and sarcastic charm will have you doubled over with laughter. When he isn’t performing across the U.S., you can find him hanging out in comedy clubs around New York City.
The event will be held on Thursday, October 3, at SoulJoel’s at Sunnybrook, 50 Sunnybrook Road, Pottstown. Doors open at 6 p.m. Show begins at 7 p.m. Show tickets are $20 for general admission and $30 for VIP. To purchase tickets, visit https://bit.ly/MOWComedyFundraiser
In addition, guests are invited to enjoy dinner at Gatsby’s Pub prior to the show, and 10% of the bill will be donated back to Meals on Wheels.
Family Services’ Meals on Wheels program began in 1971 with seven clients. Now, 53 years later, the program serves an average of 120 older adults in Pottstown, Royersford, and the Lower Pekiomen Valley each weekday through the efforts of 160 caring volunteers.
“Meals on Wheels volunteers deliver so much more than just a meal,” said Phoebe Kancianic, Program Director, Meals on Wheels. “Nutritious meals create an opportunity to build relationships and strengthen bonds with our senior neighbors. Regular meal delivery provides tailored nutrition, social connection, compassion and care, safety, and so much more. Thanks to the community’s ongoing support of our fundraising efforts, we are able to serve area seniors who turn to our program in times of need.”
